Still Austin Whiskey Co.

Still Austin was at the top of my list when visiting Austin. They produce fantastic whiskeys and the tour was great. Unlike some distillerys which give a 10 minute walk through and let you try a few drops of one or two offerings they spend an entire hour showing the complete process and equipment they use and letting you try the full range. Our tour guide was great and kept things fun. I'd highly recommend it if you are in the area.

This was a great distillery experience. First off, the offerings from Still Austin were all superb. Several high quality, delicious bourbons and ryes, along with a very interesting gin. There is a small bar inside (with great service), along with big open courtyard space with tables and several food truck options. Gift area includes a wide selection of merchandise including some cool art. But the tour itself was exceptional. Our guide, Noah, was the perfect balance of knowledgeable, interactive and entertaining. She described the distilling process in good detail, keeping both newbies and experienced alike engaged. Several of us had been on many distillery tours, but we all commented that this had been the most intelligently done. She was a great company representative. Kudos to Noah (and kudos to Noah's boss for hiring Noah). I highly recommend the tour, and their Straight Rye. Also, be aware there are several breweries and eateries in the same park. Make a day of it!
